Hello Everyone,
Hopefully this newsletter finds you all well.
Past Events
Sunday 21st April 2024 – National Drive It Day – Essex Air Ambulance, Earls Colne Airfield.
21 members attended a chilly Earls Colne airfield for our version of drive it day. A slightly different format to the event this year, we all meet at the Essex Air Ambulance base for a very informative tour of their base. I am sure everyone would agree that Stuart who gave us our tour made the day. It was great to be able to meet and talk to the pilot, paramedic and the doctor. Their professionalism makes you grateful that we are covered by such a fantastic service. We were also able to present a cheque for £500.00 from the proceeds from last years car show. We then followed a tulip route back to The Fox where we had a very enjoyable meal. Hopefully everyone found the route enjoyable and completed it without to much trouble. Thanks go to my navigator, Yvonne, for all her help in plotting out this years route.
Sunday 5th April 2024 – Monthly Meeting – Matching Green
This was the first of our regular summer time meetings to be held on Matching Green. 21 members came along, most people brought a picnic with them and we were able to enjoy the pleasant weather with a gazebo just in case. Use of the cricket pavilion meant we could get drinks and use of the toilets. A random member of the public was looking at the cars parked up and was asked to select our car of the month, this went to Dennis Northcott for his Jaguar S type, Congratulations Dennis.
