Who would have thought that close to our Matching Green base there was a two times historic F1 world championship winning team, Titan Historic Racing.

Greg Thornton the lead driver and team principal was crowned a two time FIA Masters Historic Formula 1 World Champion in 2018 and in 2019 he added the post-1978 North America Masters Series to his collection. Greg's FIA Masters Historic Formula 1 World Championships came in both the post and pre 1978 classes. 

The club was approached by the team to assist them with setting up an open day at their Essex base, details of the day can be found on our past events page, all profits from the day were donated to Little Havens Children's Hospice.
