Hello Everyone,
Hopefully you are all keeping well and have been able to get your cars out during the recent good weather.
Sunday 5th June is our regular monthly meeting at The Fox Inn, Matching Tye, we meet around 3pm, but some members book themselves in earlier for lunch. Click on this link for contact details https://www.thefoxinn.com/
Unless the weather deteriorates we should be able to park on the field. If this is closed for some reason and the car park is full there is usually space at the village hall a short walk away.
Past Events
Wednesday 18th May 7:30pm – Mid Month Meal, Rubino’s Kitchen, Kelvedon Road, Inworth, Colchester CO5 9SP. Unfortunately only eight members attended this. Those who did were treated to an excellent meal with good company that made this a very enjoyable meal. Thanks go to Gus Mckie for organising this event.
Sunday May 22nd – Imperial War Museum, London. Five members and friends attended this event which was organised by club member Joe Wells who is also a member of the Bentley Drivers Club. We travelled to the museum in a vintage 1956 Bedford SB coach which has appeared on TV and is owned by Lodge’s Coaches, the coach certainly attracted lots of attention on the road. Thanks go to Joe for giving us the opportunity to join this event.
May 28th/29th Sat./Sun Newmarket Weekend – Bedford Lodge Hotel & Spa. Sixteen members attended this weekend away. The hotel itself was excellent and fully lived up to its four star AA rating. Members individually visited many of the local points of interest from historical houses to The National Stud to Ely Cathedral and many others in-between. The carefully planned route that was available unfortunately fell foul to a bicycle event that had closed many of the roads on the route. Hopefully everyone who attended had a good weekend
