1927 Model t rat rod

This Rat Rod was bought several years ago by one of our youngest members (only 21 at the time). He has made several subtle modifications over the years including a mahogany dashboard made from an old bed head board, a gear selector made from an old iron fire poker, an ammo box glove compartment and a 'cross hair' hood ornament for those pesky pedestrians..

The aptly named 'Ruby Bootneck' has a 4.8 Ltr Mercury V8 engine with Holley 4 barrel carbs and reversed manifolds to give it a look that resembles a Ram's horns.

The Chassis is an extended Model A pickup frame and the fiberglass shell was moulded by Chris Pop, a well known figure in the Hot Rodding scene.

The 'Ruby Bootneck' is frequently seen at car shows around Herts and Essex.
